Furrows

Silver and wenge. 26 x 32 x14 cm

Including other materials with silver has always been of great importance in my work. The furrows allow grooves for the salt and pepper to be held in uniform rows, the eight spoons lift out to allow the user to scatter the salt or pepper.

Beachcomber

Silver and sandstone. 8 x 37 x 22 cm

Readdressing functionality in the work, emphasising the interaction not only of the silver with another material, sandstone in this instance, the placement of each cup being important and the ritual evoked by drinking from the silver cup.

::

Perch

Silver and ebony. 15 x 35 x 35 cm

Ritualistic, constantly evolving, requiring participation. There is a ceremonial ritual evoked by drinking from the silver cup and the act of returning them to the ebony. The cups cannot stand on the table they require the ebony piece to rest.

The Field

Silver and wenge. 18 x 66 x 16 cm

The scale of this piece and the density of the wenge is a powerful landscape for the centre of the table and evokes a strong platform for these candleholders to grow from. The curved silver forms can be arranged as desired.
